Mims Davies MP was pleased to meet with the Barclays team in East Grinstead
Mims spoke with the team regarding Barclays and the Mortgage Charter, as well as the very important topic of security for the staff.
Barclays recognise many of Mims' constituents in East Grinstead, Uckfield and the villages will be rightly worried about interest rates and what this means for their finances, especially those with a mortgage.
Barclays, alongside other lenders, has a range of tools and options to help customers, aligned to the Mortgage Charter which is still in place.
The most important message for anyone who is worried about their finances is to get in touch with their bank. Further details and direct access to help available for customers can also be found on Barclays’ Cost of Living Hub or the UK Finance website.
Mims and the team also focussed on each Barclays Local site and how they're individually assessed and must meet a strict security criterion for their staff as well as their customers.
Mims Davies MP said:
Thank you very much to the friendly Barclays team in East Grinstead for meeting with me to discuss a number of topics including customers, mortgages, and safety and security for staff and customers.
It was great to speak to the team about their staff security and that they've been issued a TWIG security device, a panic alarm for colleagues.
Their Barclays Security Shield App also provides staff with the ability to be supported by their security operations centre. Including a message hub, support if the staff member requires help, and a panic alert.
It is a shame these need to be put in place in the first place, but I'm very pleased to hear and see Barclays are taking the security of staff and customers so seriously.
Thank you again to the team for taking the time to speak with me.
