Mims Davies MP for Mid Sussex will be in the hot seat in High Weald on Friday 22nd March.
Chaired by local journalist, residents of Mid Sussex will have the opportunity to put forward any questions they might have to their Member of Parliament, Mims Davies. Mims will be present in her capacity as the local MP, not as a Minister, so this is a strictly non-political event which will be focused on local affairs and the things that matter most to residents.
Mims has been the MP for Mid Sussex since 2019 and has been an MP since 2015, whilst being a champion for rural issues, including broadband, anti social behaviour and rural crime, safer and higher quality roads, protecting our environment from unsustainable development, supporting our hard working local high streets and championing local businesses.
This event is in addition to Mims' usual visits, surgeries, Parliamentary meetings and constituency meetings taking place. Mims is planning on hosting a number of her ‘In Conversation’ events across Mid Sussex as the local Member of Parliament to give as many local residents the chance to meet her and ask her questions on important local issues.
Mims will also be hosting online events for those who wish to join events and ask her questions, but may not be able to join in person.
To register for a ticket to Mims' event on Friday 22nd March, please register here.
Tickets are free but will be limited in number to comply with the venue capacity restrictions, so please register your details soon.
Ahead of the event, Mims Davies MP said:
“People have raised with me they often feel remote from the important work that goes on in Parliament and I recognise that headline party politics may turn some people off, but it is still Parliament that has to make important decisions on so many issues that everyone faces.
My ‘In Conversation’ events are an opportunity for local residents of Mid Sussex to meet me, see an independent local journalist putting me on the spot on local matters affecting us all here in Mid Sussex, and a chance for the audience to have their own questions answered too.
I look forward to meeting local residents both in person and at my online events."
