Mims was thrilled to join the Greater Haywards Heath Bike Ride this weekend alongside BAFTA award-winning actor, writer and director Adam Deacon and Olympic swimmer Karen Pickering MBE.
Once again, they had 4 different routes – from the family friendly 12 mile to the “Wiggins Way” at 74 miles for cyclists wanting a true challenge. As in previous years, all riders were “chipped”, so everyone knew just how well they did.
As well as Feed Stations for the longer routes and were Portaloos where other facilities were not available.
Brilliantly organised by Haywards Heath Town Team and Cuckfield Lindfield & Haywards Heath Rotary Club in association with Haywards Heath Town Council, Nice Work and British Cycling.
This year the nominated charities are Search and Rescue Sussex and local support for Bipolar UK.
Mims Davies MP said:
"It’s fantastic to be back at The Greater Haywards Heath Bike Ride again raising really important money for Sussex Search and Rescue for Bipolar and, of course, being supported by amazing local volunteers from our brilliant rotary team and the Mid Sussex Radio.
It’s a beautiful area to ride in and I’m really proud to be part of it.
Thanks to Ruth (de Mierre) and the team for making it happen another year and to Karen Pickering MBE and Bipolar Charity Ambassador Adam Deacon for joining us for such a brilliant event."
