Mims Davies, the MP for Mid Sussex, received an incredibly warm welcome when she recently visited Halsford Park Primary School in East Grinstead.
Mims was invited to speak to the Year 5 pupils on her life in Parliament and why she became an MP. Mims also met with the Head Teacher, Claire Spencer and members of staff. The visit also included a detailed tour of the school led by two pupils.
After the visit, Mims said:
“It was a delight to meet the pupils, teachers, teaching assistants and all who work to make Halsford Park Primary school a great place to learn. It was a pleasure to be shown round this amazing school by two great guides and to meet many of the pupils and Year 5 who asked some amazing questions. The standard of work displayed round the school was amazing and the pride that the children took in their work was a joy to see.”
Mims will be visiting schools each month for the remainder of the year.
