Today, Minister Davies signed regulations to ensure over 6 million disabled people will be paid £150 this summer, as part of Cost of Living payments worth up to £1,350, including £301 sent to over 8 million in recent weeks.
Commenting on the latest round of Cost Of Living payments, Mims said:
Today I signed regulations to ensure over 6 million disabled people will be paid £150 this summer. As the Minister for Social Mobility, Youth and Progression, I know that this latest payment will be welcomed by millions of families across the country–as will further payments due over the next year. The Government has continually supported the most vulnerable with rising costs, including through record benefits and national living wage increases as well as these exceptional Cost of Living Payments.
