I have been contacted by an increasing number of deeply fed-up constituents about the lack of reliable and regular train services to and from East Grinstead station. As many will be aware, I have been pushing for improvements since I was first elected in 2019.
Despite promises to the contrary, services continue to be poor and unreliable. This is simply unacceptable for a commuter town less than 30 miles from the capital.
I have raised this again with my colleague Huw Merriman and CEO of GTR and requested an urgent meeting to discuss how we can work together to resolve this worrying situation for my East Grinstead and wider Mid Sussex constituents.
