Mims Davies MP shares National Grid Apprenticeship Opportunity
Mims is pleased to highlight to young people in Mid Sussex the opportunity to apply for National Grid’s industry-leading apprenticeship scheme.
There has never been a more critical time to join the energy sector, and National Grid sits at the heart of the energy system. We’re in a transformational era focused on bringing more renewables onto the grid that will cut carbon emissions, bring down bills and improve security of supply – and in the years ahead we’ll need more people with different experiences to accelerate the transition to cleaner energy.
Applications for the apprenticeship programme are now open, and young people in Mid Sussex could be part of the next generation of talent which will shape the future of energy in the UK.
Many of their new joiners will hone skills at a one-of-a-kind, world-class training centre in Eakring, Nottinghamshire, offering an unrivalled development experience.
National Grid was the first UK apprenticeship provider to be rated outstanding for three consecutive years by Ofsted and the academy at Eakring is a central part of our training proposition.
Applications for the apprenticeship scheme will be closing in March 2024.

"During National Apprenticeship Week, I'd like to highlight a brilliant opportunity for young people in Mid Sussex with the National Grid Apprenticeship Scheme.
Energy sector apprenticeships can enable young people to become part of the generation delivering the UK’s clean energy transition. Through a mix of studying at university and practical training at National Grid’s first-class facilities in Eakring, apprentices can develop life-long skills and kickstart a meaningful career.
I encourage anyone looking for a job that will provide on-going training and development, and contribute to creating a secure, affordable and clean energy future, to explore these schemes today.
Applications will close in March!"
