Mims Davies MP joins Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity in Chailey
This incredible charity work so hard supporting young children with cerebral palsy and motor learning impairments and their families.
They have children from 0 - 5 year of age with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments making sure they have the best possible start in life – giving families the support and skills to continue their development at home.
Children with cerebral palsy struggle to learn fundamental skills. They don't have the typical early experiences of their peers because of their disabilities.
They are often, unfortunately, excluded from everyday activities in their communities and unable to attend mainstream nursery provision, limiting their opportunities for socialisation and integration. This in turn means they are at risk of isolation and early intervention is crucial.
This amazing charity:
- Work together with parents and children in a supportive environment
- Focus on improving a child’s physical, social and emotional skills
- Sessions are hand-on structured and one-to-one or small group
- No formal diagnosis or referral is needed to access our services
- All of their services are offered to families free of charge
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HONOUR DAME VERA - there is a final push to see the memorial for Dame Vera Lynn become a reality.
£500,000 is urgently needed for the completion of the project and must be in place by December. The memorial symbolises not only the patriotism of our great country but also a tribute to one of the greatest ever popular singers who gave her entire life in service to others.

Good Morning!
It is Friday and that means I'm here in the constituency out and about meeting lots of amazing businesses, charities, residents and conducting surgeries on a range of topics from housing, anti-social behaviour and the Winter Fuel Allowance.
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to join Bernice on their open day for funders and networkers to hear more about the Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity at their new site in Chailey and the fantastic work they do for so many children and their families. As well as seeing the sensory room they have.
I'm very excited to share that they will also be featured on Children In Need really soon on Radio 2 with Paddy McGuinness.
If you can support this brilliant charity by fundraising it would be hugely appreciated - we met someone this morning who's running the Half Marathon in Brighton for them - and that's just one example!
Thank you so much to this truly inspiring charity for the never ending support and help they provide children and their families at such a tough time.
